We use Doopoll’s early history to explain how an enterprise wedge can finance product discovery. The team tested a four-day MVP in a coworking space, sold to smaller customers for roughly £40–£120 and enterprises for around £10K, and secured £5K–£10K enterprise contracts through cold email and meetings. The wedge helped fund learning, but multilingual positioning, paid acquisition, and a free-trial model were revised. Track what each contract teaches versus what is custom service work, and test eventually with the customer segment we ultimately want.
